Additionally, every Know NOW! user automatically follows their local emergency management agency for essential updates.
• Alerts
  • Receive emergency alerts from verified groups in your area as well as those you follow. These alerts include text, locations, photos, videos, audio, documents, and web links and are delivered via in-app notifications for immediate context.
• Media
  • Each group features a dedicated media tab where followers can access essential information including locations, photos, videos, audio files, documents, and web links. The Group Locations Map offers a comprehensive view of all alerts and group locations you follow.

• Groups
  • Users can create two types of groups – Public and Private. Public groups are searchable by all app users and open for anyone to join, whereas private groups are invitation-only and not accessible publicly.
• Alerts
  • All Know NOW! groups can send alerts to their followers with essential information. Each alert must contain an alert subject, message, or media content (locations, photos, video, audio files, documents, web links), and can include additional features like an expiration date.
• Media
  • While alert-related media content expires with the alert itself, the Media Tab allows group leaders to post permanent items within the group. This feature enables users to provide constant access to useful information, such as business location or personal photos.
